Portable Greenhouses
When a gardener has begun to make the decision to move from the average outdoor garden to wanting to sustain life longer than regular seasons will allow there are some options available to you. Many people find that it is hard to make the financial commitment to owning a permanent greenhouse, not to mention where to place it and what to grow year round. For some beginners this is simply too much to think about taking on all at once. Even for those who are experienced gardeners the many decisions that can be involved in choosing the right greenhouse can seem overwhelming at times.
The answer to this problem may well be in a portable greenhouse. Portable greenhouses are simply greenhouses that can be easily erected and just as easily disassembled and stored for seasons they may not be in use, or green houses that are portable. A portable green house is a great way to start in the area of raising plants in a greenhouse. For starters they are generally less expensive than permanent greenhouses; they also come in a variety of different sizes from portable mini greenhouses or a closet portable greenhouse to portable home greenhouse sizes. Small portable greenhouses are very popular because usually when a person is looking to start in the hobby of greenhouse growing smaller seems like less of a gigantic commitment, they are also often less expensive. Another option when it comes to portable greenhouses is to start with a portable hobby greenhouse or another route can be to build your own portable greenhouse.
No matter how you decide to start portable green houses like all products have their positives and negatives. To start with the positive side of owning a portable greenhouse there is the obvious, it is just that portable. You can take it with you when you move, if you stay at your summer home or winter home, or if you simply decide to take a break from gardening you can store it in the garage or closet. Most portable greenhouses are light weight, easy to assemble and disassemble, and work efficiently as a greenhouse for prolonging a season or two for your plants.
On the other hand portable green houses have a few negatives as well. Because they are made to move and can be easily erected and unassembled they will have a shorter life span than that of a permanent greenhouse. The lightweight building materials will take more of a toll in weather and with the set up and break down of the greenhouse each time. Other reasons to go with a permanent greenhouse if you believe you will keep the hobby for a sufficient amount of time is the ability to add accessories to your greenhouse. Portable greenhouses can usually stand a few accessories such as portable home greenhouse covers and one or two other items however the ability to add as many accessories as you would like is usually limited due to the lightweight build of a portable greenhouse, many just can not hold as many extras as a permanent structure would be able to. The portable greenhouse will also not have as many options as far as ventilation as a permanent greenhouse and the door will often not be as good a quality with a lesser seal, which is important to keeping the good warm air with in by your plants.
Overall a portable greenhouse is a great deal in the price and for the right person. Most beginners or those who are only looking to extend a season once every year are great candidates, or if you are not sure if you will be keeping your residence for the years to come. The idea of having a greenhouse to start with that is easily moved and accessible when you need it can be a perfect way to entertain your plant growing hobby and keep your budget in check.
